I have been selected and invited to attend the Lausanne Young Leaders Gathering in São Paulo, Brazil, in March 2027.

This is a significant opportunity for personal development, global connection and learning, and I would love to invite friends, family and supporters to help make the journey possible.

What is the Lausanne Young Leaders Gathering?

The Lausanne Movement brings together Christian leaders from across the world around the shared mission of making Jesus known.

The Young Leaders Gathering will bring together emerging Christian leaders from many different nations, cultures and areas of ministry for teaching, prayer, worship, relationship-building and collaboration.

It will be an opportunity to:

  • Learn from Christian leaders from around the world

  • Build meaningful relationships across cultures and denominations

  • Grow in leadership, mission and ministry

  • Share the story of what God is doing through Heart Church

  • Bring fresh learning, encouragement and connections back to our church and wider community

I believe this gathering will not only invest in me personally, but will also benefit Heart Church and the people and ministries I serve.

What has already been covered?

I am incredibly grateful that the Free Methodist Church Board of Administration has agreed to cover:

  • My conference registration

  • Accommodation during the gathering

  • Meals during the gathering

  • Internal transport connected to the event

This generous support means that a significant part of the cost has already been provided.

What do I need to raise?

I am seeking to raise approximately £1,350 towards the remaining costs of the trip, including:

  • International flights

  • Visa and entry requirements

  • Travel insurance

  • Airport transfers

  • Other necessary travel expenses

I am also hoping to combine the journey with a short visit to Washington, DC, where I will spend time with Pastor Ben Tolly, a former Free Methodist Superintendent who now leads a church in the city.

This would give me the opportunity to learn from his leadership and ministry, visit his church, and experience places such as the Museum of the Bible before travelling onward to São Paulo.
